The Veteran’s Committee of Garland County met on Monday evening, October 21, 2024, to announce the special guest speaker for the Veteran’s Day Ceremony: Alford L McMichael, USMC, Retired and a Hot Springs native.

The ceremony will take place at the Graland County Veterans Memorial and Military Park (118 Orange Street) on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 11am, all are invited!! A list of dignitaries invited is attached and all who attend are encouraged to bring their own folding chair. In the event of inclement weather, the venue will be moved to the Farmers Market that is located across the street.

As mentioned above, Alford L. McMichael, 14th Sergent Major of the Marine Corps, retired will be the keynote speaker for the Veterans Day Ceremony, attached is SGT. McMichael’s bio and achievements in service to our country.
