Hot Springs Civitan Club looks forward to the presentation on a new program to be offered by Garvan Woodland Gardens. Mr. Rush Fentress, director of Education, and Paige Scroggins, department consultant, will be the speakers at our meeting on Wednesday, April 23 at Smokin' n Style!

Mr. Scroggins announced, "Garvan Woodland Gardens is on a mission to get kids in nature! We currently offer our Outdoor Adventure Academy as a short drop-off program, and Sprout & Explore, which is a guided parent-involved program. For the fall, we are thrilled to announce the transition of the Outdoor Adventure-Academy to a part-time nature school! Studies show spending time in nature is beneficial to every aspect of our health. We aim to provide programming that instills a love and respect for nature while helping children learn, build resilience, and gain confidence."

Hot Springs Civitan invites all guests to join us on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 6:00 pm to learn more about the Garden's new Outdoor Adventure Academy, first time visitors will receive free dinner! Please make sure you forward this to anyone you think may benefit from the information provided.

Civitan's is an international civic organization with a focus on intellectual and developmental disabilities. Locally, we are providing swings for city parks which people can enjoy without having to leave their wheelchairs. We also provide educational and social activities for adults at Abilities Unlimited and First Step.
