June 12, 2025 - The Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (POA) is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated Stars & Stripes Celebration, a four-day event honoring Independence Day. This year's festivities, made possible in part by the generous support of Ike Eisenhauer State Farm Insurance, promise fun and excitement for residents and visitors of all ages.

The Stars & Stripes Celebration will take place Thursday, July 3, through Sunday, July 6, 2025. The event schedule is as follows: 

1. Thursday, July 3
   1. BYC lighted Boat Parade (Dusk, Balboa Lake): Witness a dazzling parade of decorated boats as the Balboa Yacht Club launches the celebration
   2. Evening Lions Bingo (7 PM, Coronado Community Center): Enjoy a lively evening of bingo and community spirit hosted by the Evening Lions Club.
2. Friday, July 4
   1. Freedom 5K Fun Run & Walk (7:30 AM, Balboa Spillway Trailhead): Kick off Independence Day with a family-friendly race featuring medals and refreshments for all.
   2. Fireworks Spectacular (9:15 PM, Balboa Beach): Experience a breathtaking fireworks show over Lake Balboa. Arrive early for live music, food trucks, and children's activities.
3. Saturday, July 5
   1. Kids Fishing Derby (8 to 11 AM, Cortez Pavilion): Young anglers can compete for prizes; all equipment and bait provided while supplies last.
   2. Independence Day Splash Party (5 to 8 PM, DeSoto Outdoor Pool): Enjoy water games, patriotic music, and family fun in the sun.
   3. Colt & the Old 45s in Concert (7 PM, Coronado Community Center): Relive the golden era of rock and roll with hits from the 60s and 70s. Doors open at 6 PM.
4. Sunday, July 6
   1. Anglers Fishing Tourney (6:30 AM, Balboa Beach): Cast a line and compete for top honors in this open tournament for all skill levels.
