Hot Springs Village Names Jeremy Simmons as New Fire Chief
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, AR, March 28, 2025 – The Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (HSVPOA) is proud to announce that Captain Jeremy Simmons has been officially appointed as the new Fire Chief for the Hot Springs Village Fire Department. Over the past two months, Simmons has served as Interim Fire Chief, demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication while the department conducted a thorough search for its next leader.
Simmons, a Jessieville High School graduate, brings over two decades of experience in fire services to his new role. He began his journey with the HSV Volunteer Fire Department in 2003 and joined the POA as a dispatcher in 2004. In 2006, he was hired as a probationary firefighter and graduated from the Arkansas Fire Academy. Over the years, Simmons has steadily risen through the ranks, holding positions as Lieutenant, Captain, and most recently, Interim Chief.
“Jeremy’s extensive hands-on experience, coupled with his hundreds of hours of advanced training and certifications at the Instructor and Officer levels, make him uniquely qualified to lead our fire department,” said Ken Unger, HSVPOA General Manager. “His deep understanding of our community’s needs and his strong relationships with state, federal, and local emergency management agencies give us complete confidence in this decision.”
As Fire Chief, Simmons will oversee all operations of the Hot Springs Village Fire Department, which serves one of the largest gated communities in the United States. His leadership will ensure that the department continues to deliver exceptional service and maintain its commitment to public safety.
Reflecting on his appointment, Simmons expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in this capacity: “Being appointed as fire chief is an absolute honor. Having served in this department since 2006, I have seen firsthand the strength, dedication, and courage each team member brings to the job every day. Together, we will continue to build on our foundation of teamwork and service to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.”
