Honoring Jaycee Taylor: Sam's Pizza Pub Hosts Donation Event Honoring Animal Welfare

Hot Springs, AR – January 11, 2025 – On January 9, 2025, Sam’s Pizza Pub held an event to honor the memory of Jaycee Taylor, a beloved former employee who tragically passed away at the young age of 22. Known for her compassion and love for animals, Jaycee inspired her coworkers and the community to come together and make a difference.

Through the generosity of patrons and staff, a total of $1,122 was raised and split equally between two organizations: the City of Hot Springs Animal Services and the Humane Society of Garland County, Arkansas.

“Jaycee had a heart of gold and a special bond with animals. Seeing her memory honored in such a meaningful way brings comfort to our family. We are so grateful to everyone who came together to celebrate her life and support these incredible organizations,” said Faye Williams, Jaycee’s grandmother,

Representing Animal Services at the event were Lieutenant LeeAnn Zaner and Coordinator Faith Williams Wetzler. The funds will assist in the construction of a much-needed exercise and meet-and-greet area for animals in their care. Additionally, Animal Services highlighted the need for medium and large collars, leashes, and sponsored adoptions ($55 for cats and $75 for dogs). Donations can also be made directly to their veterinary accounts at:

  • Temperance Hill Animal Hospital
  • Your Pets Animal Hospital
  • Airport Road Animal Hospital

The Humane Society of Garland County was represented by Ivy Wood, President of the organization. Their portion of the donation will support their spay and neuter program, feral cat program, and veterinary expenses. They also emphasized the need for dog food, cat food, and cat litter. Adoption fees at the Humane Society are $100 for dogs and $60 for cats, with all pets receiving a clean bill of health before placement.

“Jaycee’s kindness and devotion to animals left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her,” said Julia Jordan, campaign leader. “This fundraiser was a way for us to honor her memory and continue the work she was so passionate about.”

Special thanks go out to Julia Jordan, Zac Griffith, Billy Marsh, Gabby Hollyfield, and everyone who contributed to making this heartfelt event possible. Together, we are honoring Jaycee’s legacy by supporting animals in need and creating a lasting impact.
