HOT SPRINGS, AR, May 2, 2023 — Dr. John L. Terry III has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. Dr. Terry is a sought-after certified speaker, trainer, coach, and consultant who has been in the industry for over 30 years.

As the founder and president of Black Belt Leadership, formerly Terry and Associates, until being rebranded after his induction into the Hall of Fame, he designs personalized coaching and training programs for individuals and organizations worldwide. Excelling in leadership, communications, team building, human behavior, and performance improvement, Dr. Terry works closely with clients to help them achieve their full potential and identify various roadblocks that may hinder their success. Additionally, he has found success as the president of Real Life Management since 2021.

Looking forward to future success, Dr. Terry finds constant inspiration in his father for serving as his first mentor and giving him two books by Napoleon Hill and Dr. John C. Maxwell. His goals include replicating as many leaders as possible and preparing them to one day take his place. In the next five years, Dr. Terry aims to reach approximately 100 martial arts school owners. Additionally, Dr. Terry seeks to establish a unique parenting program. A bestselling author, Dr. Terry is working on his eighth book, which he hopes to complete soon and have in production by October 2023. He has also become renowned as an international and certified speaker.

Civically, Dr. Terry enjoys serving and supporting various local organizations to support his community, including the National Crime Prevention Association and the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce. He is also privileged to serve as a History General for the Sport Karate Museum and a President’s Advisory Council Member for Maxwell Leadership.

Most notably, Dr. Terry was bestowed a Kentucky Colonelship by the state’s governor in 2021. The Commission of Kentucky Colonel is the highest civilian honor granted by the governor of Kentucky in recognition of an individual’s noteworthiness. He is also a 2021 recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership.

Dr. Terry graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Economics, and Finance. He also received credentials as a DISC-certified human behavior consultant, a Real Life Management behavioral psychographics coach, and a CTAA-accredited emotional intelligence coach and practitioner.

To remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Terry serves as an Executive Program Director with Maxwell Leadership and a Master Trainer and Coach with Real Life Management. He is also the Executive Director of the Christian Martial Arts Council and the President of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Moreover, Dr. Terry remains a prominent member, and CEO, of the International Martial Arts Council of America Inc.

Garnering several awards and recognition for his dedication to the martial arts, Dr. Terry was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame (2008), the Masters Hall of Fame (2016), and the London International Martial Arts Hall of Fame (2022). He was also recognized with a Professorship by the Nippon Martial Arts Renmi in 2011. Adding to his recognition and credibility, he received an Honorary Doctorate in Theology and Theological Studies from Christ Jesus Bible College & Seminary in 2022.
