City Offices Closed for the MLK Holiday
Hot Springs - All city offices, except public safety and the airport, will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.
The Solid Waste Department’s residential routes, including the Earth Angel Recycling Program and leaf/mulch collection, will run one day behind schedule (i.e. Monday’s collection will take place on Tuesday, Tuesday’s collection on Wednesday, and the like), and the commercial collection will take place as normally scheduled. The Solid Waste Department’s Transfer Station will also be closed on Jan. 20 and reopen to the public at 7 a.m. on Jan. 21.
The Intracity Transit bus and paratransit services will run as normally scheduled; however, Route 3 may experience delays from 9 – 11 a.m. due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade. The Transportation Depot will be closed and reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on Jan. 21.
The Compost Facility will also be closed on Jan. 20 and reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on Jan. 21.
