City of Hot Springs Fire Department Names Addison Dunn and Josh KinCannon as Fire Marshals

Hot Springs, AR – The City of Hot Springs Fire Department is proud to announce the appointment of Addison Dunn and Josh KinCannon to the office of Fire Marshal. These experienced firefighters bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to their new roles, where they will serve as key leaders in fire safety, prevention, and community engagement.

Addison Dunn has been with the Hot Springs Fire Department for eight years. Originally from Pine Bluff, Dunn moved to Hot Springs in 2014 and has since demonstrated exceptional commitment to the safety and well-being of the community.

Josh KinCannon, a 17-year veteran of the department, is originally from Oklahoma and is a graduate of Lake Hamilton. Over nearly two decades, KinCannon has played a vital role in the department’s efforts to enhance fire safety and emergency preparedness.

As Fire Marshals, Dunn and KinCannon will take on a range of critical responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting in the department’s risk management activities.
  • Managing the enforcement of fire-related ordinances, codes, and laws.
  • Preparing for the occurrence of man-made and natural disasters.
  • Representing the fire department and the City of Hot Springs at events, meetings, and seminars.
  • Acting as the fire department’s Public Information Officer.
  • Serving as the chief fire investigator for the city.
  • Advising on departmental operations, research, and planning.
  • Assuming the duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Chief in their absence.
Fire Chief Ed Davis expressed confidence in the leadership and expertise of Dunn and KinCannon, stating “Their combined experience, dedication, and vision will strengthen our department’s mission to protect lives and property in Hot Springs. We look forward to the positive impact they will make in their new roles.”
