Celebrating 25 Years of Golf Excellence: Hot Springs Village Marks Quarter-Century of Iconic Golf Course with Isabella Golf Classic
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, AR — Hot Springs Village proudly commemorates 25 years since the founding of its renowned Isabella golf course, a milestone honoring a quarter-century of exceptional golfing and community spirit. To celebrate, the Isabella Golf Classic tournament, presented by RE/MAX of Hot Springs Village, will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, bringing together golf enthusiasts, local leaders, and community members for a day of spirited competition and celebration.
The Isabella Golf Club has been a staple of Arkansas golf since it officially opened in 2000, debuting its first 18 holes—Nina and Pinta—on Labor Day weekend of that year. Isabella was officially added to the Arkansas Golf Trail, highlighting its significance as a premier golf destination in the state. Designed by Ault, Clark & Associates, the course expanded in 2006 with the addition of the Santa Maria nine, completing its 27-hole championship layout. From 2002 through 2006, Isabella was ranked the #1 golf course in Arkansas by both Golf Digest and the Arkansas Business Journal, and it has consistently maintained high statewide rankings.
The tournament will feature a shotgun start at 8:00 AM, with 26 teams competing in an 18-hole, four-person scramble format. Player check-in begins at 7:00 AM, including welcome bags, cart assignments, and a light breakfast. In parallel, a separate invitational tournament for local and state elected officials will take place at the Santa Maria course, beginning at 10:00 AM.
Notable prizes add to the excitement of the day, with hole-in-one opportunities including a Hyundai Santa Fe, a Precedent Club Car Golf Cart, and a Transcend Camper. Player awards include $600 in Hot Springs Village Pro Shop gift cards for the first-place team and $400 for the second-place team. Additional contests will reward individual skills: the Closest to the Pin winner will receive a 2026 cart lease if a POA member; guest will receive a complimentary golf foursome. The Longest Drive winner will take home a Hot Springs Village recreation bundle if a POA member; guest will receive a complimentary golf foursome. The Closest to the Line winner will receive tickets to the 2026 HSV Concert Series.
Additional highlights include a 50/50 raffle and the Friends of Firefighters “Fill the Boot” fundraiser, benefiting local fire department initiatives. Clampit’s Country Kitchen will provide breakfast and lunch, with lunch grilled on-site by Hot Springs Village firefighters.
The post-tournament celebration will be held at the Balboa Pavilion from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, featuring remarks from a special guest speaker, a proclamation presentation, and a player luncheon. An awards ceremony will follow from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM, recognizing top teams and individual winners, and announcing raffle winners. The Isabella Golf Classic serves as a hallmark event in Hot Springs Village, celebrating the game of golf and the enduring bonds of community.
