The Garland County Leadership Prayer Breakfast brings together schools, churches, local leaders, business professionals, and community members for a morning of prayer, inspiration, fellowship and an opportunity to hear an uplifting message focused on leadership, faith, and community service. Meet Jim and Susan Birmingham — two lives powerfully transformed by God’s grace, each with a remarkable story of redemption and calling. Jim had a life-changing encounter with God in 1983 while in a jail cell awaiting trial in Canada for drug smuggling. He has now been sober and clean for 43 years. Susan met God in 1986 after waking up from a blackout in a Del Taco parking lot where she heard God speak to her heart, which began her walk with Christ. She has now been sober for 40 years. In 1991, God brought Jim and Susan together — both healed, ready, and grounded in faith. Their shared passion is mentoring young adults and guiding them toward the lives God created them to live. Jim and Susan continue to serve God — living proof that it’s never too late for redemption, transformation, and grace.
