Why the Chamber

Why the Chamber

The Chamber offers a wide and diverse range of immediate and direct benefits, including marketing and networking opportunities designed to increase your business’ recognition in the community. A Chamber membership allows you to:

Promote your business and collect business referrals. People do business with people they know and people they like, and the Chamber provides countless ways to make those valuable connections happen. Our Chamber gave out over 2.6 million referrals in 2019. Our members’ businesses, with direct website and email links, are listed on our Chamber website which averages over 11,000 monthly pageviews. Additionally, members can publish press releases on our website, and post upcoming events on our Community Calendar.

Celebrate your business (whether it’s brand-new or well-established) with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. A photo of your ceremony and a blurb about your business is featured in our Monday Memo eblast sent to over 2,000 Spa City professionals, on our Facebook page and Instagram account, on our website, and in The Sentinel-Record. At the ceremony, you’ll be introduced to our team of Chamber Ambassadors, who do a wonderful job of promoting member businesses. Additionally, you’ll receive an official plaque and an 8-by-10 poster commemorating the event. Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies are an instant splash of wide-ranging publicity.

Broaden your professional network and generate active leads while building your business contacts. Chamber events such as Business After Hours, Cards Over Coffee, Chamber 101, Lunch & Learns, Business Expo, Operation Thank You, the Chamber Ambassador program, and Leads groups encourage business-to-business and member-to-member connections. Our social events such as Flavor in the Park and Ice on Ice are growing increasingly popular, and our Annual Chamber Banquet is another great way to network with fellow professionals while celebrating those who serve our community.

Instantly increase your credibility within the business community. Display your Chamber decal in your business window and add our Chamber “Proud Member” logo to your website to show customers and other professionals that you care about the community and the business climate in Hot Springs. An investment in your local Chamber is a direct investment in your business community.
Market and showcase your business by placing promotional materials in our well-trafficked Chamber lobby. Take part in a free Member Spotlight video. Member Spotlight videos receive thousands of views and are published on our Facebook page, website, and YouTube channel. Make a group presentation in a Leads group, or sponsor an event to gain recognition with other Spa City professionals. Need additional exposure for sales, news, or upcoming events? Spread the word quickly by asking us to share your social media post with over 10,000 followers on our social media platforms.

Gain a voice in local and state government. With our annual D.C. Fly-In and One Voice, the Chamber becomes a voice to better the business atmosphere in Hot Springs. Last year, the Chamber led 27 business leaders to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressman Bruce Westerman, Senator John Boozman, and Congressman Steve Scalise, as well as representatives with the US Chamber of Commerce to advocate for the betterment of the Hot Springs business climate. Locally, our members are invited to our Fall and Spring Elected Officials Receptions, where we honor those who serve our community and learn about upcoming legislative endeavors.

Give back to your community by supporting the Chamber’s work to advocate and provide the best possible business and economic atmosphere for the community. The Chamber is a non-profit business advocacy organization, and membership dues help support the Chamber’s endeavors to foster a healthy Hot Springs business climate. The Chamber works alongside the Hot Springs Metro Partnership, a public/private economic development agency dedicated to Garland County, to impact economic and community growth within the greater Hot Springs area. In 2019 alone, they led 21 job-creating economic development projects. Together, the Chamber and the Metro Partnership make Hot Springs a better place for you to do business.

Save money on necessary business expenses just by being a Chamber member. Many of our members offer discounts for fellow Chamber members. In addition, some insurance providers offer sizable discounts upon proof of membership.
