Chamber Announces New Business Development Director
(Hot Springs, AR) Feb. 06, 2024 – The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce announces the addition of John Duncan to its staff. Duncan will fill the role of Business Development Director and is looking forward to serving the people of Hot Springs.
In this role at the Chamber, Duncan will show and explain the benefits of Chamber membership to potential members, assist new members in taking full advantage of those benefits and make sure the needs of existing members are being met.
“John is an excellent addition to our staff and has a clear and ambitious vision for our Chamber and Chamber members. I am excited to see where he will take us in this role,” said Vickie Gilliam, Vice President.
Duncan joins the team after he served countless volunteer hours as an Ambassador with the Chamber, and most recently serving as Ambassador Co-Captain in 2023.
“John did a phenomenal job in leading our ambassadors this past year. When it came time to fill this position, we determined his leadership and past sales experience made him ideally suited for this role, and we are confident he will excel in it,” said Chamber President/CEO Gary Troutman.
An experience salesman, Duncan comes to the Chamber with more than six years of experience in insurance. Before working in insurance sales, he spent more than 35 years as a cattle rancher, where he gained great experience in serving clients’ and customers’ specific needs.
Born in Little Rock, Duncan was raised in Benton and graduated from Benton High School. He has spent his entire life in the Garland/Saline/Hot Spring County area. He recently moved back to Benton to assist family, after living in Hot Springs for 10 years.
He and his wife, Teressa, have five adult children and three grandchildren. Duncan is also a long-time football and baseball official. In his free time he enjoys kayaking, hiking, and spending time with his family.
The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce is Hot Springs’ leading advocate and champion for business.
