Chamber and Partnership Announce New Director of Finance and Operations

(Hot Springs, AR) July 5, 2022 – The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce and Hot Springs Metro Partnership welcome the addition of Sheryl Staggs as Director of Finance and Operations.

In this role, Staggs will provide oversight and management of the financial reporting, accounting, and human resources activities of the organizations. The Director of Finance and Operations also provides input to other staff team members regarding financial and HR activities and encourages actions that will ensure the financial stability and growth of both the Chamber and Partnership. This position is also responsible for the management of the building and real estate owned or leased by both organizations.

Staggs has extensive experience in finance and property management roles in the nonprofit world. She most recently served as executive director of Ouachita Children, Youth, and Family Services, beginning her 10-year career with OCYFS as business and finance director. Before her time at OCYFS she worked as a controller for a property management company in Little Rock and served as director of finance at Good Samaritan Society in Hot Springs Village. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Henderson State University and is a certified nonprofit executive.

“I am absolutely thrilled to join the team at the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce and Hot Springs Metro Partnership,” Staggs said. “I am honored to represent not only these organizations, but also the Greater Hot Springs area, and to use my skills to help better the community.”

Staggs said she loves Hot Springs and feels blessed to call the area home. A native of Ohio, she has lived in the Hot Springs area for nearly 30 years. She looks forward to being a part of a team that helps grow the area she loves. She also looks forward to getting to know the Chamber’s member businesses, board members, and ambassadors.

While not at work, she and her husband, Frank, are either enjoying the lake, riding side-by-sides, or traveling to anywhere that has sun, sand and seas. The couple has a Yorkie named Fletcher. She has a daughter, Kaitlyn, and a son, Kyle.

Staggs will be succeeding Lisa Engebretson who has held the same position for nearly 20 years and is retiring at the end of July.

The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce is Hot Springs’ leading advocate and champion for business.
